I don't think I could use enough exclamations for that statement. I'm done for the summer and Jocelyne has two more days (I think it's ridiculous to go after Memorial Day!). We are all looking forward to vacation. I have all this "to do" list for summer (I do this every summer then end up only doing half!). I want to visit my old house in Midland, go to Galveston, and go to Sea World. Then there are the daily activities like going to the pool, going to the park, gymnastics, karate class, and playdates. Then there are the projects around the house: painting the hall, painting the dining room, painting Jocelyne's room, painting Jaxon's room and (most importantly) organizing all those things that became messy over the school year. And, I want to be able to jog three miles without stopping. Start the betting on which ones don't get done.
We are going to the beach today, so that is one thing on the list I will be able to cross off. I'm not expecting fun all around, though, because I don't like the beach and I'm betting Jaxon doesn't like it. But he has proven me wrong before. Many times, actually.
Oh, yes. Add to the list of "to dos": upload photos to this page. Then you can see us in our summer glory.

Life's a Game
"Mom," said Jocelyne, "Life's a lot like checkers. You have to think before you speak in life and you have to think before you play in checkers."
Wow.
If only she'd follow her own advice.

Let's Try This
I wasn't doing well updating my web page, so I thought maybe I'd do better blogging. I wrote that sentence then sat here for five minutes with nothing else to say, so I'm betting this won't be better than the web site. Only time will tell, I guess.
